Union Minister and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay’s son Bandi Bhageerath had been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Earlier it was the case of attacking and abusing a junior in his college. Now the degree of charges are pretty severe as a POCSO case is filed against him.
The allegation is that Bhageerath had physically and mentally abused a 17 year old girl who filed a case against him. However, there was a bit of delay in the legal proceeding in this case.
Now the latest developments are suggesting that Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy has jumped into action and instructed strict measures against Bandi Bhageerath.
According to the official statement, the CM spoke with DGP and warranted him to immediately initiate an investigation into the case registered against Bandi Bhagirath at Basheerabad Police Station.
The Chief Minister questioned the DGP over the delay in taking action despite the complaint having been lodged on the 8th of this month. In response, DGP C.V. Anand briefed the Chief Minister on the details of the case.
The DGP informed the Chief Minister that the entire police force had been engaged in security arrangements in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Hyderabad. Reportedly, the CM instructed the DGP to constitute special teams for a comprehensive investigation into the case.
Now that the chief minister himself is involved with the legality of the aspect, Bhageerath could be in for big trouble in this case starting shortly. It could be a matter of time before he would be brought to justice.
