Revanth Vs Konda Surekha: Not Ending Well!

Revanth Reddy Konda Surekha controversy

Group politics have always been a part and parcel of Congress ecosystem in Telangana and also other parts of the country. Previously, when the Congress was in power in Andhra Pradesh before 2014, a similar situation was seen here too.

Now it is the turn of Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy to face this situation, finding it hard to sustain with the forest and endowment minister, Konda Surekha.

Surekha and her family had been openly badmouthing chief minister Revanth Reddy, while disciplinary action has been called against them. The Congress disciplinary committee is comely reviewing this case, and further developments will dictate the outcome.

In the meanwhile, the latest reports are suggesting that the Congress government under the leadership has removed multiple special officers who were deputed in this department by Surekha.

This could be a strong indication from chief minister Revanth Reddy that Konda Surekha cannot get her going even in her own ministry. Removal of multiple favourable officers is not going to be an interesting outcome for Surekha either.

Missing with the chief minister Revanth Reddy, who has been a strong central figure for Congress isn’t a wise idea anyway. This is adding to the multiple controversies that are already existing in the department pertaining to Surekha.

But at the same time, Surekha is a warrior lady, and she had been with the Congress party through thick and thin. She has been a very ferocious later for the party at the fundamental level, and there is no way that Congress would be looking to debar her services.

For now, this controversial episode is progressing on an unfavourable note for Surekha and it has to be seen where it would ultimately end up.
