Revanth Reddy On Chandrababu Naidu: Not Uncultured Like KCR

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was a close aide of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Both share a cordial relationship and hold mutual respect. However, opposition parties try to paint their friendship in a negative light most of the time.

During today’s assembly discussion on the power sector, Revanth Reddy clarified about his closeness to Chandrababu Naidu.

He explained how he and Errabelli Dayakar Rao (both are former TDP leaders) requested Chandrababu Naidu not to file a court case regarding the allocation of 53.46% of the electricity sector to Telangana during the bifurcation.

Revanth mentioned that they advised Chandrababu against filing the case as it could harm the party’s reputation in Telangana.

“You (BRS leaders) constantly bring up these ‘Guruvu-Guruvu’ statements. You have a habit of backstabbing mentors. We don’t. Is there a rule that we must disrespect colleagues we’ve worked with for 10-20 years?” questioned Revanth Reddy.

“I treat friends as friends and colleagues as colleagues. My parents taught me to respect elders. I am not like you, who try to backstab those who sheltered you,” Revanth added.

Revanth asserted that BRS leaders have a tendency to betray those who supported them and asked them to refrain from making false allegations.
