
The situation turned out to be tense at KTR’s camp office in Rajanna Siricilla. Some Congress workers came to the camp office to put up a picture of Revanth Reddy in the camp office.
Naturally, the BRS cadre tried to stop them. This led to war of words and fight between both sections. Many were injured in the process.

The incident resulted in the police carrying out a lathicharge to disperse the crowd. The Congress workers were taken to the police station.
While the Congress cadre raised KTR down, down slogans, the BRS cadre raised CM down, down slogans.

A similar incident happened at MLA Mahipal Reddy’s office who jumped from BRS to Congress after 2023 elections, in January, 2025.
The Congress cadre swarmed his office and tried to remove the picture of KCR and replace it with that of Revanth Reddy. Tensions prevailed and the police had to intervene.

Wanting to have a picture of the CM in office is understandable in the case of Congress leaders. But trying to impose it on opposition party leaders has given rise to political chatter.
Also, expecting a picture in KTR’s camp office is crossing the line, say political analysts. The Congress and BRS are at loggerheads regarding various issues.
KTR has been quite vocal about Revanth Reddy being a ‘bag man’ and alleged the CM of buying and selling of posts within the Congress party in the National Herald Case.
KTR regularly criticises Revanth Reddy about not fulfilling the election promises and high levels of corruption in Revanth government.
