Revanth Reddy Should Immediately Fire His Strategists

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been making atrocious comments before the media. Telangana is a Revenue Surplus State after the State Bifurcation and now it has come down to the Chief Minister pressing the Panic Button.

Revanth Reddy repeatedly mentions that the previous BRS government pushed the state into a quagmire of debt.

According to the Chief Minister, the state needs 22,500 crores on the first of every month, and currently the state’s income is only Rs. 18,500 crores per month. Rs 6,500 crores are being spent on salaries and Rs 6,800 crores on interest.

The CM said that paying interest on the loans taken by the previous government and salaries of government employees alone cost Rs. 13,000 crores every month. He said that the remaining five thousand crores should be used for welfare and development, but the expenses are increasing day by day.

Revanth Reddy needs another 4,000 crores for the implementation of promises.

In the wake of RTC Employees threatening to go on a strike, Revanth Reddy made some stringent comments the other day.

“Even if you cut me in half, I can not give you a single rupee. We are not getting loans. If we go for a loan, banks treat us like thieves. Even the Union ministers are not giving appointments,” Revanth Reddy said.

We do not know the strategy behind making such statements, but if there is any such strategy, it is baffling.

The Chief Minister himself is painting a poor picture of his state and its finances.

This will not only make the financial organizations wary but also dent the image of the state in the eyes of the investors.

Also, it is a poor strategy politically.

Revanth Reddy thinks people will buy the argument that KCR destroyed the state’s finances.

But then, the messaging is not great for the Aam Admi.

During the previous Government, there were no issues whatsoever for the Welfare and Development. It may be true that the KCR Government exhausted all loan limits, leaving nothing for Revanth Reddy.

But in the eyes of the common man, it is like everything is good during KCR’s regime, and Revanth Reddy is struggling to keep up his promises.

Political Parties and successive Governments down the South have killed the rationale of the voters a long ago. They fed people too many promises and freebies so much that the people stopped understanding reality.

After selling the dreams before the elections, if Revanth Reddy wants to sell the reality to them, it is impossible.

Also, there is a lot of inconsistency in what Revanth Reddy is saying.

Only a couple of days ago, he said he took one and a half years to plan the welfare schemes, and he will start concentrating on implementing them now.

But this story of struggles has come up in less than a week.

In politics, it is all about posturing. Revanth Reddy has done that very poorly in this Episode.

Revanth Reddy, if he has a strategist, should immediately fire him. If he is his own strategist, then God save him and the Congress Party.
