Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expanded his cabinet.
Congress MLAs G Vivek, Adluri Laxman Kumar, and Vakiti Srihari were sworn in as ministers in the Telangana Government in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
They were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Raj Bhavan.
Both Adluri Lakshman Kumar and Vakiti Srihari are first-time MLAs.
Seniors – Sudarshan Reddy, Prem Sagar Rao, and Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy are snubbed for missing out, and Congress Incharge Meenakshi Natrajan is trying to pacify them.
The case of Gaddam Vivek getting the Cabinet Berth has become a Talking Point everywhere.
Congress Party made a tall claim of ‘One Family-One Ticket’, but the rule has been amended at the convenience.
The Gaddam family gets unlimited opportunities because they are cash-rich, and even the leaders in Congress are criticizing them.
Vivek’s son, Vamsi Krishna, is the MP from Peddapalli.
His brother, Vinod, is the MLA of Bellampalli.
Vivek is representing Chennur and has now been inducted into the Cabinet.
His relative, Gaddam Prasad, is the Assembly Speaker currently.
The leaders who were left out of the cabinet are fuming about it. They are also reminding us how Vivek, despite hopping into many parties, gets importance, while the loyalty of senior leaders is ignored.
The Gaddam family is one of the biggest funders of the Congress Party in the recent elections, and Vivek also has Velugu Paper and V6 Channel, which are very popular in Telangana.
So all these factors helped his case.
There are six vacancies in the current cabinet. Revanth Reddy strategically kept three more slots vacant so that the disappointed leaders would stay interested.
