Vem Narender Reddy, a name that echoed in Telangana nine years ago during the arrest of Revanth Reddy in the Vote-Note case, is now in the spotlight again.
Narender Reddy, the TDP nominee in the 2015 Telangana MLC elections, played a crucial role in Revanth’s victory, leading to Revanth’s subsequent arrest on allegations of luring money to Stephenson.
Currently, there is speculation that senior Congress leader and former MLA Vem Narender Reddy might be appointed to a key position in the state government.
It is reported that the government is considering him for the role of Chief Advisor to the State Government.
Narender Reddy has been actively involved in overseeing all programs organized by Revanth Reddy in his capacity as Telangana PCC President from behind the scenes.
He also holds the position of Senior Vice President of TPCC. The friendship between Narender and Revanth dates back almost 16 years, during their time together in the TDP.
Between 2004 and 2009, Vem Narender Reddy served as the MLA of Mahabubabad, while Revanth Reddy was elected as an MLC in 2007.
Despite the political stronghold built by Narender in Mahabubabad becoming reserved with the constituency redistribution in 2009, their friendship endured.
In 2015, when Revanth sought to win over his friend Narender for an MLC position, he approached Stephenson, a nominated MLA.
Narender has been a steadfast supporter through the ups and downs that Revanth faced later. Both leaders joined the Congress simultaneously.
With the Congress forming the government, there are discussions within the party about appointing Narender to a significant role.
The possibility of him being appointed as Chief Advisor to the government is currently under consideration.
