It is known that TPCC president Revanth Reddy contests from Kodangal constituency. This is one of the talked about constituencies in Telangana politics and there is a lot of anticipation on the same.
Now, in a new development, BJP has announced a financially sound candidate against Revanth in the Kodangal constituency.
In the third list of constituencies announced by BJP, it is confirmed that Cheekoti Praveen Kumar will contest against Revanth Reddy from Kodangal.
Cheekoti is a financially sound candidate and perhaps BJP felt that he can do the job for the party in Kodangal by spending heavily in the elections and give Revanth a run for his money.
But the issue here is that Cheekoti has a poor reputation as he is involved in gambling activities and runs casinos in Goa. He was arrested a far few times with regard to the same.
Will Cheekoti’s bad reputation spell disaster for him and BJP in Kodangal and work in favor of Revanth, or will his surplus financial resources put up a fight against the TPCC chief? We shall wait and see.
