KTR reviewed the water availability in the city in the wake of even harsh summer yet to come. The officials briefed him about the water requirements in the city for the summer and the current availability. Officials opined that there will be no water problem for the city till June 15th, taking account current water levels in the reservoirs.

But things will be worse if rains do not fall by then. They also told that bringing water from Krishna and Godavari is the only way out to save the city from water crunch. Already there is a rule for mandatory rain water harvesting pits but the government will take it seriously only from now. KTR urged people to use water judiciously.
