Hyderabad High Court had issued notice to Andhra Pradesh Assembly Secretary to file a counter on the issue of YSR Congress suspended MLA, Roja. The Nagari MLA filed a petition in High Court that the one year suspension to her is illegal. Additional AG took up the case on the behalf of the Assembly Affairs Secretary.

Additional AG informed the court that the Speaker has the right to suspend any member from the house for any period of time according to Article 194 of Indian Constitution. He brought to the notice of the court that Roja behaved in a manner which is not expected from a member in the house. He also clarified that Roja will continue to draw her salary despite getting suspended from the house.
The next hearing of the case is posted to 29th of this month. The court will look in to Assembly Secretary’s counter on that day and decide up on the future course of action. It is known that Roja is caught on video using some very personal comments on Anitha and disgraceful name calling of the Chief Minister. Finally was awarded one year suspension.
