The main opposition party YSR Congress created ruckus in the assembly over the capital issue. Opposition leader, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy objected government’s unilateral approach on the next capital. He demanded that there should be a discussion in the house over the options for the capital followed by voting. He clarified that his party will not allow Chief Minister to make an announcement with out discussion.
Minister Achchennaidu on the behalf of the government clarified that there will be a discussion after Chief Minister’s announcement. But YSR Congress was rigid on having a discussion before the announcement and barged in to Speaker’s well to take up the discussion immediately. The Speaker adjourned the house for 10 minutes but situation did not turn any better. Finally, Speaker Kodela adjourned the house to Thursday.
On the other side, government accused YSR Congress of creating regional differences for political gains and asserted that the government is committed to for the all round development of the state and asserted that the capital will be at the center of the state accessible to all the regions of the state.
