YSR Congress has shifted focus to the Social media space. Prashant Kishor’s I-PAC had already started campaigns and teams started working too.
Meanwhile, Jagan’s confidante Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy is going to be made the Head of the party’s social media wing. Sajjala already heads media affairs in Andhra Pradesh.
He will be given social media affairs as well. Sajjala is the keyman in the Jagan Government. Handing over social media affairs to Sajjala indicates the importance Jagan is giving to the space.
And also outlines the overall importance of social media in the 2024 election campaign.
On the other hand, Opposition parties – TDP and Janasena have ignored the social media space big time.
Both parties have left the important arena to the supporters who only do it out of passion.
Even though they have been effective in countering the ruling party, the space is totally unorganized and will prove to be fatal when the elections are getting closer.
A brute force of dedicated paid workers and a strategic campaign is needed to penetrate into the masses when elections are nearing. That is not possible with volunteers.
