Sakshi Newspaper was extremely cautious in giving coverage of Sharmila’s maiden speech after taking charge as AP PCC President.
On the Main Page, Sakshi reported a small column on Sharmila’s speech, and just beside that reported two columns of Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy and YV Subba Reddy’s criticism of Sharmila on the same topic.
It is also interesting to note that YS Sharmila Reddy is referred to as just ‘Sharmila’ in Sakshi’s report.
There is no mention of ‘YS’ or ‘Reddy’ even though all the official communique of the Congress refer to her as ‘YS Sharmila Reddy’.
This name play started ever since Sharmila met Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.
Sharmila who led the YSR Congress campaign with a Padayatra when Jagan was jailed, was deprived of her rightful share in her father’s properties, no proper position for her services to Jagan, and now Sakshi and YSR Congress are trying to grab YSR’s legacy as well.
Sharmila will be touring Andhra Pradesh from tomorrow and plans to have leaders join Congress from every district. YSR Congress leaders are the target every where and in days to come, Sharmila will be more critical of Jagan.
