
Nine-year-old Sritej, injured in the December 4 stampede at Sandhya Theater during Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 premiere, is still fighting for his life. Despite some improvement, he remains in critical condition, reliant on ventilator support.
Doctors at KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad, are doing everything possible to stabilize him.

According to Dr. Chetan R Mundada, chief pediatric intensivist, Sritej is semi-conscious, tolerating feeds, and showing slight neurological improvement.
While he briefly came off ventilator support, it had to be reinstated. The child is hemodynamically stable but still requires close monitoring and intensive care.

Sritej was brought to the hospital in a semi-conscious state after CPR administered at the scene by police and bystanders revived him. Since then, he has shown some signs of progress, such as trying to move and open his eyes.
However, intermittent fever and dependency on minimal ventilator settings indicate his road to recovery will take time.

The tragedy that left Sritej critically injured also claimed his mother Revathi’s life. The family is enduring immense grief as they await positive news about Sritej’s recovery.
Doctors remain hopeful but cautious, emphasizing that it will take several days of intensive care before any significant improvement can be seen.
