Supreme Court today rejects the appeals filed against the Telangana Bill and made it clear that it can not interfere in the process right now. The appeals were filed by TDP MLA Payyavula Kesav, former YSRCP member Raghu Rama Raju and seven others. The lawyers of the applicants appealed the court to give clarity on Article-3 but the court did not heed to their requests.

The lawyers argued that the Center is violating Article 371 D and E and asked the court to stall the bifurcation process. They also argued that the bill was out-rightly rejected by AP Assembly and it should be stayed from tabling in Parliament. The entire hearing went on for more than one and half hours and ended up as disappointment for United Andhra Pradesh supporters. However, the court made it clear that the applicants come back to them at appropriate time.
