The Union Government has brought up a rule that anything scribbled on the new 500 and 2000 Notes will make them invalid. The rule was brought out silently but the implementation of it in the banks is very strict. Such notes are being rejected by banks to the shock of their customers.

The New Rule is not publicized enough and so the people are continuing to accept the notes only to get shocked later in banks. Places like Petrol Banks are also instructed not to accept such notes. People with such notes are suddenly in a fix now.
Scribbling on the currency notes is a very bad habit Indians have since ages. There are instances we have seen people writing love letters on Currency notes. And this habit is going to be dangerous threat as it decreases the life of the currency notes. Hence RBI is implementing the rule very strictly.
