YCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy’s daughter Neha Reddy faced a setback in the Andhra Pradesh High Court in connection with the case filed against her illegal construction near Bheemili beach in Visakhapatnam.
The High Court has instructed the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) to take action against the illegal construction of a compound wall at Bheemili Beach by Neha Reddy.

The construction of this compound wall violates Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) regulations. The court also asked the GVMC officials to submit a detailed report regarding the action taken against the construction.
Jana Sena corporator Murthy Yadav filed a Public Interest Litigation in the High Court, alleging that no action had been taken by officials despite the construction of illegal establishments near Bheemili beach.

A bench consisting of Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur and Justice Cheemalapati Ravi heard the case yesterday on Friday.
Advocate Ponnada Srivyas argued on behalf of the petitioner and stated that GVMC officials gave permission to the illegal constructions near Bheemili Beach.

He further mentioned that Neha Reddy challenged the petition by filing an appeal to a single judge. However, the judge did not issue any interim stay orders.
After hearing the arguments, the bench stated that action should be taken against the construction if no interim stay was granted by the court. The next hearing has been postponed to September 11.
