Where Jagan is talking about winning the next assembly elections and being in power for 30 years, the fate of his party seems to be doomed.
While YSRCP secured 151 seats in 2019, it was relegated to 11 seats in 2024. Now, opposing the decisions taken by the party, many are looking to jump into ruling TDP.
Already many leaders and workers have joined other parties. In a major shock to Jagan, 1500 leaders and workers from YSRCP are jumping into TDP from Nellore district’s Kovur soon.
The leaders were unhappy with ways of ex minister Prasanna. MP Vemireddy couple and Napa Venkateswarlu are getting ready to welcome them into the party.
Jagan went ahead with the slogan of Why Not 175 during 2024 elections. But they lost badly. Jagan blamed the use of EVMs for his defeat. Different leaders had different versions for the loss.
Kadapa ex-MLA Rajamallu Sivaprasad Reddy said it was Jagan’s good nature that led to the defeat. Setting aside other districts, it is still unclear as to why the results were so bad in YSRCP’s stronghold Kadapa followed by Nellore.
Meanwhile, ex minister and ex MLA Nallapureddy Prasannakumar Reddy has said that the party lost as it did not form an alliance with the BJP. It must tie-up with the BJP in the next elections, he said. Prasannakumar Reddy added that he would convey the same to Jagan.
