Former MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu has resigned from YSR Congress. He also resigned as Vishakapatnam district President of YSR Congress. He pleaded for an apology saying that he is not able to do justice for the cadre.
Panchakarla is expecting the Pendurthi seat where YSR Congress has a sitting MLA in Adeep Raj. Panchakarla joined the party with an assurance of that seat but YSR Congress had a change of mind.
YV Subbareddy, the party’s Uttarandhra in-charge recently announced Adeep Raj as the party’s candidate for 2024 during YSR Jayanti celebrations held in Pendurthi on the 8th of this month. Panchakarla is disappointed and resigned from the party.
Ramesh Babu entered politics with Praja Rajyam Party in 2009. He contested on the PRP ticket in Pendurthi Constituency and won as MLA. Subsequently, Chiranjeevi merged PRP into Congress. He resigned from the Congress party after the bifurcation,
Panchakarla Ramesh joined the TDP along with Ganta Srinivas and Avanti Srinivas during the 2014 elections. In the 2019 elections, Ramesh Babu contested as a TDP candidate from Yelamanchili and was defeated by YSRCP candidate Kannababu Raju. In 2020, he joined the YSR Congress party and now is leaving the party before the next elections.
