Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena formed an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party and joined the NDA forces for the 2024 General elections.
As the polling in Andhra Pradesh concluded yesterday, TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan have travelled to Varanasi to participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nomination filing today.
Not only Naidu and Pawan, but many NDA leaders like Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, BJP National president JP Nadda, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh also attended Modi’s nomination filing ceremony.
Naidu and Pawan congratulated Modi on his filing of nomination and wished him a hat-trick victory. Their picture is now trending on social media.
In the photo, Modi is seen courteously greeting Naidu and Pawan. There were big smiles on their faces, given the positive reports from AP elections.
Modi has won the Varanasi seat twice with a thumping majority. He is expected to repeat the same feat this time as well.
The polling in Varanasi will be held on June 1, during the last phase of the voting process. The rival congress party has fielded Ajay Rai against Modi in this constituency.
