Metro Man, E. Sreedharan recently resigned as the Advisor to Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail. There are rumours that the state government has insulted Sreedharan by not heeding to advice and not giving him the appointments to meet the Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu.

But Sreedharan has turned down the reports and said that traveling has become difficult for him due to his age and so he had resigned. “I resigned fully due to my personal reasons. There are no other reasons for that,” Sreedharan said.
Sreedharan in the interview warned against using Light Metro in Vijayawada as it will cost almost same as the normal metro but is only 50% of the total Normal Metro Capacity. He clearly said a fast growing city like Vijayawada needs a Metro Rail Project.
