Telugu Desam Party announced its last MLA candidate from the Cheepurupalli assembly constituency in the Vizianagaram district. Senior leader Kimidi Kalavenkata Rao has been given the ticket for this constituency.
There was a lot of suspense surrounding TDP circles regarding the ticket of this constituency. Finally, it went to Kalavenkata Rao. However, when the ticket was given to him, people said he was a weak candidate and incumbent MLA Botsa Satyanarayana’s victory would be a cakewalk here.
However, the response from people on the ground gives us a different picture. Today, the TDP chief was in Cheepurupalli to campaign for his candidate. There was a huge response from people for today’s roadshow.
People were shouting “CM…CM” when Chandrababu gave his speech and women were standing at the top of their buildings listening to him during the roadshow.
Speaking at the roadshow, Chandrababu criticized local MLA Botsa Satyanarayana and his rule. He accused Botsa of selling the self-respect of the Uttrandhra region to Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Babu emphasized that Uttarandhra has been TDP’s fortress for a long time. He questioned what Jagan did to this region after winning the last elections and criticised the increase in prices of petrol and essential goods during his tenure.
He also criticized YCP’s new land-titling policy, warning citizens that they could lose ownership of their lands if the YCP regains power.
Chandrababu pledged to expand welfare programs and promised that his first signature would be on the Mega DSc file if elected as Chief Minister.
He urged people to vote for the alliance, emphasizing that it would lead to an improvement in their lives.
Meanwhile, CBN’s rally gave a huge boost to Kalavenkata Rao’s confidence. There was a massive crowd during his nomination rally and there was a massive crowd today as well.
Thus, people are thinking that the wave might be shifting towards Venkata Rao in Botsa’s local constituency and we may expect a surprise from him this time.
