The President of the Janasena party, Pawan Kalyan was the one who initially brought the Sugali Preethi case to public trail. His relentless protests and frequent public speeches to this effect gained a lot of visibility to this case.
This eventually helped the family members of the victim as they were provided, substantial financial compensation and a piece of land as well from the Andhra Pradesh government.
But that did not prove to be sufficient enough as the family members demanded a detailed investigation into this matter. This was further amplified when Pawan Kalyan promised more investigative action on this matter.
Now, in a shocking twist in this case, Pawan Kalyan is finding himself in the middle of the police battle. In fact, a police case has been fired against him by Sugali Preethi’s mother today.
She complained that Kalyan had promised to take substantial action this case after coming to power and even assured that his first signature will be to this effect. But he did not live up to his word after becoming the deputy CM and completely avoided her, saying the proofs in the case were erased already.
The audacity to file the police complaint against the man who brought public attention to this case in the first place is leading to several discussions now.
This must be a very problematic series of events for Pawan Kalyan as well, and it has to be seen how he would be dealing with the same in the days to follow.
