Andhra Pradesh has entered the elections phase with the assembly and MP elections less than 8 weeks from today. Now, Aaj Tak – C Voter has dropped the opinion poll on the election trend in Andhra Pradesh.
It is reported that the Telugu Desam-JSP alliance is beating YCP by double the margin by winning 2/3rd of the MP seats – 17/25. YCP will be restricted to just 8 MP seats, as opposed to the 22 the party won in 2019.
Coming to the vote share, Aaj Tak – C Voter has predicted that the alliance will poll 45% votes while YCP will be restricted to 41%. A 4% difference in the voting percentage is a huge deal and could mean that the TDP and JSP alliance has much higher public support than YCP.
This report clearly hints at the anti-incumbency factor in Andhra Pradesh that could work to bring down the YCP government. In this context, the assembly elections could also be clearly in favor of the alliance. This could be in accordance with the anti-incumbency that the opposition parties have been clearly hinting at over the last few years.
