Jagan Mohan Reddy pinned all hopes on the last-minute money disbursal to win the election.
We have seen the YSR Congress go to the High Court to allow the schemes.
On Thursday night, taking everyone by surprise, a High Court order surfaced allowing money disbursement for only one day (today). The Order said money can not be disbursed between the 11th and 13th.
This is despite the Election Commission informing the High Court that there will be no Level-playing ground if the DBT is allowed.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission is still not allowing the Government to do the money transfer.
The Commission had written a letter to the State Government with some questions.
The EC asked – What will happen if the money is not given today itself? Jagan pressed buttons many days ago but why the money is not disbursed yet?
The EC also asked to furnish the financial reports of the state government between January 24th and March 24th.
The EC will ascertain if the Government has intentionally delayed the money disbursement despite funds availability to give it at the last minute to influence the voters.
If that is established, the EC may block such attempts with its special powers.
Meanwhile, Navataram Party filed a Review petition against this decision of the Single Judge.
YSR Congress leaders and cadres are anxiously waiting to see what will happen.
