There has been so much talk about renaming AP Film Chamber of Commerce (APFCC) to Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce after the state bifurcation, however protests from Telangana producers continue to demand for separation in the film industry too. The latest we hear on this is after the latest meeting held in Hyderabad APFCC decided to conduct its next meeting in Vizag on 26th September but this decision did not go well with T-Producers.
Film chamber President Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna says general body meetings are usually held in different regions as distributors, exhibitors and producers are expected to attend these meetings. T-producers determined to oppose the name change and not in favor of upcoming Vizag meeting. Telangana government too not being aggressive when it comes to divide the film chamber and create separate film chamber for Telangana state as it’s a very sensitive matter and not an easy task to divide Telugu film industry.
