Shocking revelations are being made in the Telangana phone-tapping case. We now hear that the BRS associates tapped Revanth Reddy’s phone calls as well, during their rule.
Reportedly, BRS party’s aides imported International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) catchers to track the call conversations of various prominent personalities and blackmail them.
Apparently, these BRS folks, in association with a few businessmen, tapped phone calls of politicians, film stars, and other businessmen with the help of SIB’s former DSP, Praneeth Rao.
SIB recruited a technical consultant named Ravi Paul, who came up with the idea of importing tapping equipment from another country. He imported the devices from Israel in the name of a software company. He also bought a device that could record voices from the vicinity of around 300 meters.
Reportedly, he used this device to record the conversations at Revanth Reddy’s residence by taking a flat for rent located within 300 meters of Reddy’s home.
SIB spent crores to buy these equipment and imported them without taking the mandatory central government’s permission.
The police said that the search is underway for Ravi Paul and added that he will be arrested soon.
