It’s been a year since actor Taraka Ratna passed away. On his death anniversary, his family members decided to do ‘Annadanam’ at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.
Taraka Ratna’s father Mohana Krishna and his sister Mohanarupa donated Rs.15 lakhs for ‘Annadanam’ at Tirumala. They even served the food to pilgrims at the Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex.
Speaking to the media, Mohana Krishna reminded that his father, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, initiated the ‘Nithyannadanam’ tradition at Tirumala in 1985. He added that, in honour of both his father and the divine, they donated for ‘Annadanam’ at Tirumala, seeking blessings for Taraka Ratna’s soul.
Mohanarupa stated that Taraka Ratna’s final visit was to a Venkateshwara Swamy temple before his passing. She remarked that the coincidence of his death anniversary falling on a Saturday is a divine arrangement by Lord Venkateshwara.
