Tamil Nadu Governor Rosaiah was relieved immediately after his term and Maharashtra Governor CH Vidya Sagar Rao was appointed as in charge governor of the state. Immediately after that, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa fell sick and was admitted to hospital last month. There are several rumours about her health since then.

The Chief Minister is in the Intensive Care Unit for almost a month and the opposition is demanding that an interim CM should be appointed in her place. A peculiar constitutional situation has arisen in the state and all eyes are on the in charge governor CH Vidya Sagar Rao who is carefully treading on this issue.
Earlier it was said that Telangana TDP Leader, Mothukupalli Narasimhulu will be appointed as the Governor of Tamil Nadu after Rosaiah’s term. But then given the political turnaround in the state, the center is of the opinion that inexperienced Mothukupalli can not handle that and so kept his candidature on hold. So he is praying for Jayalalithaa’s quick recovery.
