Jagan’s CBI Cases Reach Rajya Sabha, But…

YS Jagan CBI cases in Rajya Sabha

One of the most prolonged legal battles against any mainstream politician in India belong to Andhra Pradesh former chief minister YS Jagan, who has nearly a dozen CBI cases and additional ED cases against him.

However, the verdict on these cases has been pending for many years as it has been more than a decade since the start of the proceedings.

Now there is a significant piece of development at the legislation level as the topic about Jagan’s pending cases reached the Rajya Sabha today.

TDP Raja Sabha MP Chintakayala Vijay spoke in the upper house today and briefly referred to the pending cases against YS Jagan, and he even questioned the need to prolong them so much.

It was pointed out that Jagan has 11 CBI cases and 31 criminal cases against him, but he is still walking free even to this day. It was communicated that justice delayed as justice denied in this country, but Jagan is somehow escaping this mechanism.

This is a very valid point that was raised by the young MP in the upper house of Rajya Sabha, but the chair did not react positively to the same.

The speaker pointed out that this is not the right time or the occasion to speak about such political matters in the Rajya Sabha house and he cut shot the discussion abruptly.
