The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has made changes to four assembly candidates previously announced. Party chief Chandrababu Naidu conveyed this during a meeting of zonal in-charges held at the party’s central office. According to the latest updates, sitting MP RRR from Narasapuram will now contest as a TDP candidate for the assembly seat in the same district.
Initially, Chandrababu aimed to allocate the Narasapuram MP seat to Raghuram, but the BJP leadership did not agree as the seat went to BJP in the alliance. Consequently, TDP handed over the B-Form to its candidate Srinivasa Verma. In response, Chandrababu decided to field Raghuram for the assembly seat.

TDP had previously announced sitting MLA Manthena Ramaraj as their candidate in Narasapuram. Chandrababu instructed party leaders to dissuade him from contesting and appointed Rama Raju as the district president of the party to facilitate this transition.
Furthermore, TDP replaced its candidate in Madugu, Anakapalli district. Initially, NRI Paila Prasada Rao was announced as the candidate, but reports indicated his lack of effective campaigning. Consequently, senior March leader and former minister Bandaru Satyanarayanamurthy was appointed as the new candidate.

In Madakasira (SC) district of Sri Satyasai, TDP decided to replace current candidate Anil Kumar due to strong opposition from former MLC Thippeswamy’s faction. MS Raju, the state president of the party’s Dalit wing from Anantapur district, will now contest from this seat.
Additionally, Tamballapalle candidate Jayachandra Reddy is also set to be changed due to poor campaign performance and alleged business relations with rival camps. Names like Sarala Reddy, wife of former Madanapalle MLA Dommalapati Ramesh, former MLA Shankar Yadav, and Konda Narendra, a high-level executive in a chip manufacturing multinational company, are being considered as replacements.
