As Telangana approaches its 10th anniversary since its formation in 2014, the commemoration has turned into a showdown between former CM KCR and current CM Revanth Reddy.

KCR, the first CM of Telangana and head of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has planned a three-day celebration starting with a candlelight rally on June 1, followed by formal events at Telangana Bhavan on June 2, and district-level festivities on June 3. He emphasized the achievements of his government in making Telangana a model state.

This is seen as a matter of prestige for the Congress, marking its first anniversary since coming to power in 2014.

The state’s Chief Secretary has announced plans for grand celebrations on June 2, including tributes, cultural performances, a carnival, and fireworks at Tank Bund.

Revanth Reddy’s current position as CM with the backing of the state government gives him a clear edge over KCR, who is still recovering from electoral defeat in assembly elections and lacks high morale among his party members.

It can be concluded that it will be impossible for KCR to outshine Revanth Reddy in this scenario.
