Telangana Assembly paid rich tributes to recently demised former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam and Congress MLA, Patolla Kishan Reddy. The house paid tributes to both of them and observed silence in their memory. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao recommended the center to rename DRDL(Defence Research Development Laboratory) in Hyderabad after Abdul Kalam.

Government of Telangana had already written a letter on this issue to the Government of India and KCR reminded that once again on the occasion. All the other political parties supported the motion and then the Speaker adjourned the house to coming Tuesday.
When the house once again convenes in the next week, issues related to farmers suicides in Telangana are likely to rock the house. All the opposition parties have united this time to pin down the government on these issues. It is known that Telangana is witnessing double digit number of suicides every day.
