Telangana Congress Party Richer Than BRS, BJP is the Richest Party

BJP has emerged the richest party in the country while the Congress party comes second followed by Trinamool Congress. Closer home, the Telangana Congress is richer than its rival BRS.

The political parties have submitted their audit reports to the Election Commission (EC) for FY 2023-24. It has come to light that BJP is the richest party in the country with Rs 7,113.80 crore in its account.

The parties showed their assets and how they got their funds. BJP said it got Rs 1685.89 crore through electoral bonds and Rs 2042.75 crores as donations. The party said it spent Rs 1754 crore in the past year.

It said it spent Rs 591 crore on advertisements, Rs 174 crore on helicopters, Rs 84.32 for meetings, Rs 75.14 on rallies, strikes and call center. It further said that it gave Rs 191.06 crore for members’ expenses.

After BJP, Congress stood second with Rs 875 crore in its account. The party got Rs 1129.67 crores as donations adding upto Rs 1225.11 crore.

It got Rs 828.36 crores through electoral bonds. As for expenditure, the Congress spent Rs 207.94 crore on electronic media, while it spent Rs 43.73 on printed material.

It spent Rs 62.65 crore on helicopters while it gave Rs 238.55 crore to its members. RS 28.03 crore was spent on publicity, Rs 79.78 crore was spent on social media. Rs 49.63 crore was spent on Bharat Jodo Yatra, the party told EC.

Trinamool Congress stood third in the country with Rs 646.39 crore in its account. Earlier it had Rs 333.46 crore and the figure almost doubled in FY 2023-24.




Speaking of Telangana, the Telangana Congress stood ahead of BRS in FY 2023-24. The Telangana Congress showcased Rs 685.5 crores to EC.
