Before the Telangana assembly elections, the Congress party made multiple promises to the people. Eventually, it formed the government and assured that it would fulfil the promises as soon as possible.
One of the major promises made by the Congress government is the loan waiver scheme. Earlier, it was stated that the money couldn’t be credited to the beneficiaries’ accounts due to the Lok Sabha elections.

After the Parliament elections, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy promised to implement the loan waiver scheme by August 15. He also had a challenge with BRS MLA Harish Rao regarding the same.
On August 15, Congress stated that most of the beneficiaries got the amount credited to their accounts. However, that was not the case.

While most of the beneficiaries received the amount, some of them still didn’t get the money in their accounts. Now, we hear that Congress has set a date to clear those payments.
According to reports, the Congress government is planning to credit the amount to the beneficiaries’ accounts on December 9, marking one year of its rule.

December 9 also marks the birthday of Sonia Gandhi. Thus, Telangana Congress leaders want to make it special by clearing the dues of the loan waiver scheme.
