Telangana’s Corona Combat saga continues to be controversial. For around 10 days now, Telangana’s Daily Coronavirus cases are around 1000-2000. Even though the testing has increased marginally, there is no significant increase in the cases and the number never touched the 2000 mark so far.
While in normal circumstances this is a welcome development, people are not in a position to trust Telangana Government after how it has handled the Pandemic. Experts say that there are good chances that the state government is fudging numbers.
“The virus has entered the community transmission phase. Moreover, most cases in Telangana around 70-90% every day are centralized in the GHMC area. Considering such a scenario, there is no way the cases can be constant or such low,” experts opine.
There are instances of discrepancies between the medical bulletins of the districts and their numbers in the state-level bulletin. Also, there are media reports of how the burial grounds and mortuaries are flooded with dead bodies but that is not reflecting in the official medical bulletins. It looks like Telangana Government is losing its credibility in this Crisis.
