Mallanna Sagar Project Land Acquisition is becoming a headache for the ruling TRS Party. This is the first anti-government agitation in Telangana under KCR’s rule and it is also threatening to bring back the dead opposition live. The other day, Police did Lathi Charge on agitating farmers and even fired a couple of rounds in the air.

Angry farmers pelted stones on the Police. Telangana Irrigation Minister Harish Rao, however, came in defense of the police saying that they resorted to Lathi Charge only after TDP (TS) Party cadre hurled stones at the Police. He went on to say TDP (TS) and Congress are trying to stall the Project by instigating people.
Harish Rao also tried to draw a parallel between Land Acquisition for Mallanna Sagar and Land Pooling in Amaravati. He alleged that TDP government in Andhra Pradesh went on to collect 50000 acres of land while only 500 acres is sufficient. However TDP (TS) cadre is posing some interesting questions to Harish Rao.
They say until the other day, the Minister was saying there is no leader or cadre to the party but then they all of sudden started impacting people in several villages and leading agitations. And then they remind Harish that in Amaravati, it is Land Pooling where more than 30000 acres are given voluntarily. They say if Hyderabad is also in just 500 acres?
