The Districts Reorganization in Telangana may have a bigger effect on Politics of the state as it will pave way for the emergence of new political leaders and weakening of powerful district level leaders. Any Party Leadership will consult strong district-level leaders before taking any decision on local matters, and now that will change the equations.

Several Existing district leaders will lose their hold and be confined to the new smaller districts as new leaders emerge from other areas. This will reduce the clout of the current district leaders in the party and at the same time the state leaders will become more influential. Smaller districts will also mean that the local leaders will be no longer that powerful.
There are worries in the party if the state leaders will become autocratic ignoring the district leaders who will lose their influence going further and the emerging leaders will also be not as powerful as in the previous case. All the parties are currently busy identifying leaders and committees for all the 31 districts.
