In an affirmative step against social media trolls and YouTube troll videos, the Telangana cyber police have filed cases against 20 YouTube channel operators and owners.
The Telangana cybercrime DCP, Sneha Mehra has announced that 20 YouTube channel operators who are spreading false news and morphed videos about public representatives are to face legal consequences now.
The DCP added that spreading videos like these is against the law and henceforth, stern action will be taken against the culprits.
“These content creators are only aiming at gaining subscribers and fetching more views. So they are spreading fake news and morphed videos. From now on, there will be strong legal action against each of them.” The DCP stated.
The Telangana cybercrime DCP added that there will be continual monitoring on these developments and there will be no tolerance on the same.
