It’s the year-ender and all of city is preparing to end the year on a ‘high’ note.
And what’s a new year party without booze for many. However, the party bubble could be busted if you bump into police tonight.
The city police are all geared up to catch those in an inebriated state. Various check points have been set up and the police are prepared to take strict action against those who drive recklessly on the roads tonight.
If you are caught in a drunk state, you will have to shell out Rs 10,000 and spend your next six months in jail. The Telangana police will be on duty between night 8pm and tomorrow morning 7am to ensure the safety and security of revelers.
If one is caught for the first time, fine of Rs 10,000 will be collected and it will land them in jail for six months.
If by chance of fate, one is caught a second time during the night, a fine of Rs 15,000, jail and suspension of license for 3 months will be imposed.
However if one is caught after taking drugs, it will be a non-bailable offense.
