Telangana to lay lines from Chhattisgarh for Power!

Telangana, Hyderabad in particular is witnessing the never before like power cuts after the state division. Even after the monsoons arrived, the city is undergoing Powercut ranging up to 5-6 hours. Previously in the United State, rural side of AP particularly had to go with as long as 8 hours power cut to satisfy the power needs of the capital city. But now the state is divided, the capital will also have to face the music.

KCR government has already decided to buy power from Chhattisgarh which has surplus power. The state has agreed to provide 2,000 MW of power to Telangana, KCR asked the officials to lay dedicated lines for it immediately. KCR also ordered the officials to explore ways to increase the hydel electricity in various projects in the state. KCR has announced that in three years the state should be able to provide 24-hour uninterrupted power supply to all including agricultural operations making use of all available resources.
