BRS chief KCR had already announced that he will also contest from Kamareddy constituency in the coming elections, apart from the customary Gajwel constituency.
Incidentally, KCR is now likely to face intense competition in both Gajwel and Kamareddy constituencies in the coming election.
BJP’s Eatala Rajender had already announced his intention to contest from Gajwel. He is seeing this as revenge for KCR’s antics to defeat him in Huzurabad by-election. He vows to give KCR a tight fight.
And now, there are reports that the Congress high command has decided to deploy Revanth Reddy against KCR in the Kamareddy constituency. If that is the case, Revanth, being a vocally aggressive leader could well give KCR a run for his money as this is the first time KCR is contesting from here.
Congress’s Shabbir Ali had already started his election campaign in Kamareddy but if the Congress high command fixates on fielding Revanth from Kamareddy, then the former will be given some other post as compensation.
If KCR really does end up facing Eatala and Revanth in Gajwel and Kamareddy respectively, then things could get real interesting. He will start as the favorite in both constituencies but one can never be sure of it as KCR comes against two mass leaders Eatala and Revanth in a single election. It has to be seen how things pan out.
