Teachers working in government secondary educational institutions and those private institutions recognized by the government will get to vote in MLC elections from teacher’s constituency. But then the candidate need not be from the teaching community and need not be educated either.
In Graduates Constituency, registered graduates are eligible to vote but the candidate does not have to be a graduate. Those elected are supposed to represent the teachers and graduates and bring their problems to the attention of the government.
