Tilak Varma, who became the hero of India’s Asia Cup 2025 final win against Pakistan with his unbeaten 69, met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad. He was accompanied by state Sports Minister Vakati Srihari during the visit to the CM’s Jubilee Hills residence.
CM Revanth Reddy congratulated and felicitated Tilak for his match-winning performance in Dubai. In a special gesture, Tilak gifted the CM a cricket bat. Recently, it was also reported that he signed and set aside his match cap for Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh, which he plans to hand over personally.
Born and trained in Hyderabad, Tilak has always credited his roots for shaping his cricketing journey. After the final, he also visited his training base, Legala Academy, where his coaches and peers celebrated his rise. His calm and fearless innings in the final not only secured India’s ninth Asia Cup trophy but also made Hyderabad proud.
