Visakhapatnam Railway Zone has been a long-standing dream for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Finally, the initial step in the construction of this railway zone is becoming a reality.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu recently went to Delhi, where he held meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various other cabinet ministers.
They discussed several issues, including the construction of the capital city Amaravati, the Polavaram project, and the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone.
According to reports, the foundation stone for the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone will be laid in December by PM Modi. Chandrababu Naidu informed the alliance MPs of this after discussing it with PM Modi and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
In addition, Chandrababu Naidu discussed various pending railway projects in the state. They also talked about setting up IT and semiconductor industries in the state.
Naidu also requested Vaishnaw to establish a National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology in Andhra Pradesh. He further sought support for startups in the state and requested assistance in realizing the vision of making Andhra Pradesh poverty-free by 2034.
