When YS Jagan was in the opposition, he openly criticized the Chandrababu government for allegedly appointing 35 individuals from his community in the Police department. YSRCP even filed complaints, including to the President, but the TDP didn’t effectively counter these claims. These accusations contributed to public skepticism and may have played a role in YSRCP’s electoral defeat. Interestingly, YS Jagan is now repeating a similar pattern.
In a recent development, Mohit Reddy, the son of CheviReddy Bhaskar Reddy, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA). It’s being speculated that this appointment is connected to the campaign for Mohit Reddy’s potential candidacy as an MLA in the upcoming elections. CheviReddy Bhaskar Reddy, the MLA of Chandragiri, is considered a key figure within YS Jagan’s circle. Notably, a similar situation occurred previously when CheviReddy Bhaskar Reddy held a position during Bhumana Karunakar Reddy’s tenure as TTD Chairman under CM YSR’s leadership.
Reports suggest that Mohit Reddy is likely to hold the TUDA Chairman position for a period of three years. Sources indicate that he may also contest as a YSRCP candidate in the Tirupati Segment in the 2024 elections. Moreover, other significant positions, including TTD JEO (Joint Executive Officer), EO (Executive Officer), Tirupati District Collector, SPs (Superintendents of Police) for Chittoor district, Tirupati RDO (Revenue Divisional Officer), and even the Vice Chancellor of Dr. Venkateswara University, are all reportedly being occupied by individuals from YS Jagan’s community.
