It looks like the end is nearing for YCP’s rule in the Mangalagiri Assembly constituency. Recently, Ganji Chiranjeevi, the YCP in charge of the area, faced a big backlash from people of the Baptist Dalit Community.
They raised questions about the lack of development activities for their community over the past five years.
An individual questioned why roads are laid in privileged people’s areas and not in his neighbourhood, despite many requests.
Ganji Chiranjeevi tried to evade criticism with excuses but the people were not in the mood to listen and flooded him with questions asking why the government failed to deliver its promises.
Going by the agitation, it looks are people had enough of YCP’s rule in Mangalagiri and are looking to elect Nara Lokesh as their MLA this time.
Even the surveys say that Lokesh will be winning comfortably this year. Thus, the YCP candidate is going to have a tough time until the conclusion of the elections.
