The TTD EO transfer has drawn attention across Andhra Pradesh’s administrative circles. The state government moved Anil Kumar Singhal from the post of TTD Executive Officer. He has been directed to report to the General Administration Department.
Mudddada Ravichandra has been given full additional charge as TTD Executive Officer. He currently serves as Principal Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office. The decision was announced without delay or detailed explanation.
Sources link the TTD EO transfer to the probe into alleged adulteration of ghee used in temple-related activities. The CBI Special Investigation Team recently wrote to the state government. The letter reportedly flagged lapses in implementing TTD Board decisions during a sensitive period.
According to sources, these decisions went ahead without sufficient scrutiny or objections. The communication is also said to mention former EO Dharma Reddy and financial adviser Balaji. There is still no official clarity on action against other officials named.
After reviewing the SIT’s observations, the government appears to have acted quickly. The first step was Singhal’s transfer. You still do not know whether more administrative measures will follow.
Anil Kumar Singhal is a 1993-batch IAS officer. He earlier served as TTD EO from 2017 to 2020 and returned in September last year after central deputation. His removal within a year has raised questions due to the sensitivity of temple administration.
