All popular social networking sites, particularly Twitter is becoming as breeders for propagating Jihad and motivating youth towards terrorism. There are several instances of Indian youth being caught while going to join ISIS. In most of the occasions, the misled youth have got ISIS connections through Social networking sites. Off late, Twitter has taken down hundreds of ISIS sympathizers.
Many of these accounts have twisted Islamic literature buoying youth to take up arms and fight for Jihad. The organizers of these accounts closely monitor all their followers and choose the most radical ones from them. After they feel they are eight to serve ISIS, they contact them through direct messages and direct them to ISIS stronghold countries.
Many of these misled youth join ISIS in those countries and some stay back to help ISIS in their vicinity. However the account removal in Twitter is not an easy job and it is getting difficult to check those accounts which are cropping up one after the other. According to Twitter rules, many of the accounts do not violate as Users are allowed to post content, “including potentially inflammatory content”.
