One of the largest social media platforms in the world, Twitter is trembling under the new leadership of Elon Musk. With an alarming number of layoffs and N number of changes to fundamental operations, Musk is leaving Twitter in a highly unstable state.
As per the latest e-mail sent to Twitter employees, it is mentioned that all Twitter offices globally are temporarily shut down. They will open again on the 21st of November. The reason for the shutdown wasn’t disclosed to the employees or the media.
This comes at a time when Twitter already lost more than half of its global workforce due to layoffs, and also a huge number of employees leaving the company, unable to comply with Musk’s 12-hour intense work period regulations.
Adding to the uncertainty, Musk has been tweeting out funny memes. Earlier today, he shared a meme, in which we see a funeral for Twitter. He also shared a crossbones emoji in the context of Twitter offices shut down.
Not just that, the #RIPTwitter tag has caught on now and many people are funnily commenting about how the world would be without Twitter. Musk, who is supposed to give some sort of an affirmative update on what’s happening is busy sharing memes and troll stuff on his official handle.
